Inktober 2021

In the fall of 2021 I vowed to finally do Inktober and follow through with the entire month. On top of the prestige of saying “I DID IT,” I was hoping to use it as a creative exercise in illustration. As a creative, I tend to take longer on projects than I mean to when I’m engrossed in the process (especially illustration). However, with Inktober, I had to plan and manage my time effectively if I wanted to become consistent and happy with the results. It was a gratifying experience and gave me a noticeable boost in my creative processing time. It also helped me develop some time optimization methods that I still use.
